jBPM (Java Process Process Model) is an open-source Java-based workflow engine that can execute the business processes described in BPMN 2.0 (or its jPDL operation language in previous versions). It is released under ASL (or LGPL in previous versions) by JBoss.In essence, jBPM takes descriptions of the graphical process as input. The process consists of tasks associated with sequential flows.
